The UK’s only independent Turkish film festival, Taste of Anatolia â Films from Turkey (TOA), has announced its third edition program.

From September 2-5, the festival features a diverse selection of films by established and emerging Turkish directors, whose daring themes include queer love, sacred fish, Turkey’s erotic film industry, and refugees.
Hollywood actor Numan Acar and Netflix favorites Birkan Sokullu and Alican YÃ¼cesoy are among the stars.
The festival will be the UK premiere for many of the films on this year’s program.
Highlights of the film include “Love, Spells and All That” (AÅk, BÃ¼yÃ¼, vs.), “Chronology” (Kronoloji), “La Belle Indifference” (KÃ¼Ã§Ã¼k Åeyler), “In The Shadows” (GÃ¶lgeler Ä°Ã§inde), “Omar et Nous” (Omar ve Biz), “Invisible to the eye” (Ah GÃ¶zel Istanbul), “Best actress” (En Ä°yi KadÄ±n Oyuncu) and “7 Kybeles” (7 Kibele). selection of 38 short and feature films straddling fiction and documentary.
Organized by Anglo-Turkish film charity BalÄ±k Arts, this year Taste of Anatolia – Films from Turkey will take place entirely online due to the pandemic.
All film screenings are free on BalÄ±kArtsTV.com to registered viewers in the UK, with many films also available to international audiences.
