George Mont Williams

Passed away on March 19, 2021

The survivors are his wife Pamelia Fabbri Williams (to whom he has been married for over 50 years). Also 1 brother, Dr Bruce Williams and his wife Ann, 1 brother-in-law, who is like a 2nd brother to him, David Eugene Fabbri and his wife, Janis, 2 sisters-in-law, who are like sisters to him, Joyce Fabbri -Coombs whose husband Jon is deceased, and Christine Fabbri-Adamson, and her husband Steve, as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, all of whom he loves very much and who are very dear to him.

Mont has spent his career in the telecommunications and marketing industry. He worked for Indiana Bell, then as vice president at Sprint, then as vice president at Ameritech in Chicago before venturing out on his own as an international consultant. He worked for several different companies in the United States, Europe and Asia and lived in England, Iran and then 5 years in China. After returning to Chicago, he retired and moved to Naples, Florida, where he and his wife owned the Minuteman Press Printing and Marketing Company before retiring for the second time.

Mont and Pam had an exciting life: he loved diving the world’s oceans and cross-country skiing all over the United States. He went inside the Gaza Pyramids in Egypt (which you can’t do now) and spent time looking for wildlife in Africa. He rode an elephant in Nepal to photograph Bengal tigers and visited the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. He went to the Taj Mahal in India and drank wine on the Champs-Elysees in Paris more than once. He saw where Christ was born and was buried in Israel and saw the Pope in Vatican City in Rome. He ate bratwurst in Germany and spent time enjoying Hong Kong. He spent time in 38 different countries and islands. He and Pam lived in Iran when Shah Pahlavi fell from power and experienced an exciting revolution. They also lived in England where they learned to drive on the wrong side of the road. They spent 5 years in China which they loved.

He always felt blessed and always loved his wife. Pam thanks Mont for sharing such a wonderful and exciting life with her.

Instead of a service or flowers, Mont asks you to plant trees and flowers in your garden.
